Petre Balasoiu – BA Criminology and Youth Studies, Teesside University

Petre Balasoiu1I wanted to visit the UK since my first year of high school. It wasn’t exactly a plan, but an item on my personal wish list.

At the end of the 12th grade, when all the questions about what college was I about to attend started pouring, and I really didn’t know what to answer, I found out that I can study in England through UKStudy.

Given the fact that I wasn’t the best student in my class, it was an offer I couldn’t refuse.

I applied to 5 universities, all from Great Britain, and the UKStudy staff answered all my questions (and there were a lot of them).

I was lucky to be guided towards the profiles that best suited my interests, and now I’m proud to say that I am a student at Teesside University, Middlesbrough, at the Criminology & Youth Studies section, although I’ve been accepted by all the colleges I’ve applied to.

Petre Balasoiu3All this wouldn’t have been possible without some kind of qualification, and the fact that I have promoted my IELTS exam is another thing that I’m grateful for.

Not only do I have the occasion to visit and live in the UK, but I’m going to study in a new place that I can’t wait to discover.

I’m very excited about my leaving and all my thanks go to the UK Study team for being so supportive and professional at the same time.
